The Parish Team has given much consideration to how best we can facilitate parishioners attending Mass.
We would encourage people this year not to feel confined to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to attend Mass. Remember there are 12 days of Christmas! Why not attend Mass on one of these days after Christmas when there won’t be the same demand for seats.
If you are coming to Mass on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day please take note of the following:
Please remember that the church stewards are our front line workers and treat them with the utmost kindness and respect.
One feature of our time of lockdown has been that many families have found themselves gathered around a screen to participate in the celebration of the Eucharist. This has meant that for many it has been the first experience of family gathering to pray together in the home. Surely this has been a positive by-product of a difficult time.
However, you attend Mass this Christmas time why not gather your household some time over the Christmas period to pray. You might like to use some of the Christmas prayers and blessings that will be on our parish website nearer to Christmas.
As a Parish Team, we wish you every grace and blessing at this time and thank you most sincerely for your help and support during a most challenging time.
