Newbridge Parish Centre has a history that goes back to 1842 when it was built as the first Male & Female National School on the ‘Railway Road’, in what is now the front of the building.
Over the years it has been home to the Convent Infant school run by the Holy Family Sisters, the Technical School – now St. Conleth’s Community College – a Boy’s Secondary School run by the Patrician Brothers, a KARE school and a boxing club. Other groups based in the building included A Créche, the Parish Youth Group, CMAC (now ACCORD), Citizens Information, the Credit Union and AA groups.
It was opened as a Parish Centre by then President Mary Robinson in 1992 and , in 2018, the building underwent extensive refurbishment.
Religious goods, Mass Cards and cards for every occasion are available here.
Rooms are available to rent for both day and evening use. Tea and coffee making facilities are available and further catering can be arranged if required. (For further information and room rates contact the Centre at 045 431121)
Room 1: Capacity for 40 people. Wifi and IT/TV Facilities.
Room 2: Capacity for 30 people. Wifi and IT/TV Facilities. Room 2 is also home to the Parish Lotto.
Room 3: A stand-alone meeting room with kitchenette and bathroom facilities and access directly to the car park. It can accommodate approximately 30 people.Wifi and IT/TV Facilities.
First Floor: A Glass lift gives access to the first floor.
Room 4: A small meeting room for meetings with 15+ people. Wifi.
Room 5: A large meeting room with IT facilities and capacity for 60+ people.
It is located on Charlotte Street/Station Road, Eirecode W12 R622 As the main administration center it is the home for the Parish office.
The ACCORD office and a number of small counselling rooms are also located on this floor.
