Appeal for families left homeless after fire in Newbridge

A special fund has been set up to assist the families affected by the fires at Millfield Manor.  It was fantastic to see the huge response to the appeal for clothes for those who have been left homeless.

A bank account has been set up for anyone who wishes to donate to the people who lost their homes.

Chrism Mass 2015 – A Message to You from Bishop Denis

A Message to You from Bishop Denis
I want to take this opportunity to invite you to come to Carlow for this year’s celebration of the Chrism Mass on Monday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cathedral.

It promises to be a very special occasion with beautiful music and ritual. During this Mass the Holy Oils that will be used across the diocese in baptisms, confirmations, ordinations and anointing of the sick will be blessed and the priests of the diocese will renew their priestly commitment.

I look forward to meeting and saying hello to as many of you as possible after the Mass over a cuppa next door in Carlow College. So put the date in your calendar because your presence will make all the difference!
