Improvement works at St. Conleth’s and Cill Mhuire

Published on 9th April 2019

Cill Mhuire;

Some changes are being made to the sanctuary area of Cill Mhuire Church.  New lighting is being installed and the crucifix that was suspended from the ceiling has been adjusted and placed on the sanctuary wall in order to give it more prominence.  The section of wall behind the altar table is being painted a darker colour to give that area of the church more emphasis.  We hope this will help enhance the prayerful sense of the church.

St. Conleth’s;

Work is being carried out on the garden area to the left of the church as you enter by the main door.  This area was renovated in 2000.  Maintenance of the area has proved difficult and over the years it has become somewhat unkempt.  Improvements to the garden, including the area outside the Adoration Chapel, will take place over the next three weeks or so, resulting in it being tidier and safer for everyone using it.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
