Catholic Schools’ Week

Catholic Schools’ Week 29th January – 04th February 2012 gives us the opportunity to acknowledge and
celebrate the tremendous contribution that our Catholic primary and
post-primary schools make, not just to Irish society, but to the mission of
the Church.

This year the theme for the week is “Christ’s Living Body Active in
Our World”. In selecting this theme we are clearly connecting the vision
of Catholic education with the mission of the Gospel, to bring the light of
Christ to the world, and to allow it to shine through all the work carried
out in our Catholic Schools.

In order to celebrate Catholic Schools’ Week at parish level, each of
the Catholic Primary Schools in our community will be involved in a
Mass over next weekend.

Along with the regulars at the particular Mass, we invite and welcome
basically the whole school community, pupils, parents, grandparents,
family members, all members of staff, the Board of Management, and so
on (no body is left out!).

The Mass times are as follows:
Saturday 28th January
St. Conleth’s @ 6:15pm – St. Conleth & Mary’s & St. Conleth’s Infants Schools
Cill Mhuire @ 7:00pm – Gaelscoil Chill Dara
