Welcome to Newbridge and Caragh Parishes
Welcome, and thank you for visiting our parish website. The parish of St Conleth is one of the largest in the country. The population within the parish boundaries is more than 25,000. The Christian presence in this area dates back continuously to the times of St Brigid and St Conleth who were contemporaries in the 5th century.
To prepare for our celebration of Christmas we are showing three sessions of Fr Robert Barron’s Catholicism DVD series during the Advent Season.
The venue will be the Parish Centre. The first evening will take place on Monday 2 December 2013, 7.30 - 9.30 pm The facilitator will be Deacon Jim Stowe.

The traditional and hugely popular ‘O Holy Night’ returns to St. Conleth’s Parish Church, Newbridge, on Sunday, 16th December at 8.30pm. (Tickets €20 from Veronica 087 794 0850). Our Parish Calendar for 2014 is on sales now for €5.
This a beautiful calendar designed by Arthur Burke and Fionnuala Maguire. It features some well known people and places of Newbridge and could be a lovely present to send to a loved one living abroad.
By buying this Calendar you will be helping two worthy causes in our parish as the proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be shared between the Michael Garry House and the Parish Lourdes Fund.
The Calendar is on sale at the Parish Centre on Station Road.
“Entrusted with the Word” is a two night training course for parish readers offered by Kildare and Leighlin Faith Development Services.
The course will take place in the Parish Centre in Prosperous on Wednesday, November 20 & 27 from 8-9:30 p.m. Participants will receive the diocesan guide for readers.

A Triduum in honour of St. Martin de Porres, OP takes place this week in the Dominican Church from November 4th – 6th.
There are two sessions each day – 10.00 am and 8.00 pm.
Rosary 15 minutes before each session.
Benediction of the Holy Eucharist after the evening session.
Anointing of the Sick will take place at both sessions on Tuesday
