The parish food bank, Share Food made a presentation on Monday, Feb 24 to Newbridge parish priest Paul Dempsey before his departure as Bishop of Achonry. A large group of Share Food volunteers and supporters were present as Mairead Ryan gave Bishop-elect Paul a special candle to mark his elevation. Gaye White thanked him for his support of Share Food and for his extraordinary pastoral ministry in the parish over the past six years. On Wednesday, 29th of January, as part of Catholic Schools Week, we gathered the Transition Year Students from our four secondary schools (approx. 400).
